With Christmas around the corner and everyone looking forward to their office closure it is easy

to forget about taxes.

To ensure that you are prepared for the upcoming tax season here is your

guide to a painless tax submission:

1. Make a note of these dates:

(a) Individuals - Provisional Taxpayers Deadline - 20 January 2025

(b) Companies, CC’s Deadline – 28 February 2025 (2nd Provisional Tax Return for 2025 and final 2024 Tax Submission)

(c) Trust Deadline – 20 January 2025

Tip – Put it in your calendar!

2. Provisional Taxpayers send your information to your accountants now, don’t wait for January – Procrastination is the thief of time.

3. December is the time when budgets go out the window – don’t wait for the tax man to come knocking in January, put money aside in December to save you the headache in January.

4. Tired of paying a lot of tax, now is the time to reduce company profits. This can be accomplished by paying bonuses another is donating to your local non-profit organisation.

5. One way of reducing your personal income tax for the 2025 financial year is by making a lump sum payment into your Retirement Annuity before 28 February 2025. Not only do you save tax, but you are one step closer to realising your retirement goals.

Go into the festive season this year knowing that your tax matters are taken care of.
